Beautiful watch and fantastic customer experience included in the package. It’s the perfect substitute for those of us not ready to drop serious money on the real thing!

I need to relax.. because it’s not what I think. See guys, I told my lady I just needed a basic a diver watch for working in the garden so I’d have a rudimentary timer for hand watering my trees and plants. Well, this watch does that, but so much more. Now I have to be extra careful when I’m gardening to not jam it into the dirt so I can wear it around the adults and cool kids. Speaking of that, I’ve never been into the hype for the R brand but after wearing this one for a few weeks I’m starting to see what some of the hype is all about. The design is indeed beautiful, but I feel bad for anyone who felt the need to drop five figures on an albeit higher end watch but nevertheless the same look and feel that 99% of passers by will never appreciate. As to this particular watch by Relax, I have no complaints. The dial shines beautifully around the hour indices and the bezel rotates crisply and confidently. I’ve splashed it with water a time or two and can confirm it’s Hand Wash Certification. Big surprise and bonus is the quality of the lume! I have several watches 5-10x the cost of this and the lume isn’t as nice. Wow! Small suggestions for improvement would be an anti reflective coating on both sides of the crystal and a more deliberate micro adjust. Then again: my much more expensive watches don’t micro adjust so maybe it’s operator error or even the actual SubM works the same way. Thanks Relax!!

Got the Relax Substitute and my first impression out of the box was that it was way too nice a watch for the price. Beautifully executed in tribute to the original, it really competes with many other divers on the market. Gorgeous finish! The bezel in black rotates smoothly with satisfying clicks, while the black bezel insert has a very pleasant ghostly gray aspect in certain lighting conditions. The face itself is nicely done with perfect placement and centering of the lettering. Hands line up well with the minute marks on the dial. The movement seems quite precise, and the second hand sweeps nicely as with its namesake. The screw-down crown is easy to engage and making adjustments or manually winding the movement is simple. The case itself is really attractive and rides flat on the wrist. The metal band is really well-made, though I did switch it out for a NATO strap because that’s my preference: it is a really comfortable watch to wear either way. Bottom line, this is a tremendous value for a great watch in its own right. I’ll be back for more, especially if they add more Substitutes without date complications. Highly recommended!

BAND DID NOT MATCH THE QUALITY OF THE FACE. IT KEPT GETTING LODGED. FLIMSY QUALITY I WILL KEEP THE WATCH FACE AND COME OUT OF POCKET FOR AN AFTERMARKET BAND CAUSE I CERTAINLY DONT TRUST YOUR SHOP :) ALSO COULDNT RETURN SINCE YOUR RETURN POLICY STATES ONLY UNOPENED ITEMS CAN BE RETURNED. IF I DIDN'T LIKE THE FACE I WOULD'VE GIVEN 1 STAR. YALL NEED TO IMPROVE SORRY FOR THE CANDID REVIEW GUYS BUT I HAVE TO BE SINCERE
